EC-2A is significantly smaller and perfect for claw/finger-tip and palm. Yes, It's really weird it can be used for all grip typed. My hand is 19cm from tip of middle finger to end of palm and even though this mouse seems a little small, it's the best i've used for any fps game. Even in dota it's awesome.

don't buy a new mouse , cause both of the ones you have listed will have the same problem , it's the mousepad , nearly ever mouse has tracking problems on colored surfaces , if you really wanna buy the EVO ec1/2(which have problems on those pads , cause old ec1 didnt) , then you will be "forced" to buy a full black mousepad in order to not have the tracking problem.
