By using LuSC-list components, formulators can ensure that their finished lubricant products meet EU Ecolabel criteria, minimizing the registration timeline and associated expenses.

European Ecolabel is one Environmentally Acceptable Lubricant (EAL) program that may be used to streamline registration for Vessel General Permit (VGP) for lubricants and greases on ships and waterways. The LuSC list as of February 26th 2021 is available here and contains all white-listed components and packages.

This list contains: (1) the hazardous substances with harmonised classifications and labelling (i.e., Table 3 of Annex VI to CLP Regulation); and (2) the Candidate List of substances of very high concern (SVHC).
